How to Use
Step 1: Download Your Marketplace Payment Sheet
Open the payments or settlement section of your Meesho, Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra or JioMart seller panel and download the report for the period you want to check, as Excel or CSV.
Step 2: Upload the Payment Sheet
Drop the file into Barmeto Profit & Loss. The marketplace is detected automatically from the column headers — no renaming columns, no picking a format. Upload sheets from several marketplaces to see them together.
Step 3: Add Your Product Cost and Expenses
Enter the cost price for each SKU, or download the cost template — it already lists every SKU found in your sheet — fill it in and upload it back. Add ad spend and other expenses as a flat amount or a percentage.
Step 4: See the Profit List and Loss List
Pick a date range and every SKU lands in either the profit list or the loss list, month-wise, with loss-making SKUs sorted to the top.
Step 5: Act on It and Export
Raise the price, cut the cost or delist the SKUs losing money, and export the full report to Excel or PDF for your accountant or team.
FAQ
What is a Profit & Loss Calculator used for?
It helps e-commerce sellers find out whether they are making or losing money on a product, order, or project. You enter your cost, selling price, and expenses, and it instantly shows your exact profit or loss and margin.
What information do I need to calculate profit and loss?
You need your selling price, your product cost, and any additional charges such as marketplace commission, shipping, GST, packaging, ad spend, or return losses. These figures let you calculate gross profit, operating profit, and net profit.
What is the difference between gross profit and net profit?
Gross profit is what remains after deducting only the direct cost of producing or buying your product. Net profit is what remains after all expenses, including operating costs, interest, and taxes. Net profit shows your true final earnings.
How often should I calculate profit and loss?
Review it whenever you set or change a price, launch a new product, or run a sale. For overall business health, check weekly, monthly, or quarterly so you can catch issues early and adjust your plans before small problems turn into major losses.
Can I use it to compare different selling prices?
Yes. Change the selling price or any cost, recalculate, and compare the results to find the price that gives you a healthy margin on each marketplace.
Does it work for project-based or service work as well?
Yes. If you manage projects, you can compare your actual time or budget against costs to see whether the work was profitable or went over budget.
Is the calculator accurate enough for tax or legal purposes?
It provides quick, informative estimates, but it is not a substitute for formal accounting or tax advice. For official filings, always consult a qualified accountant or financial professional.

Is there a subscription?

SEO & GEO Docs
What is Barmeto Profit & Loss?
Barmeto Profit & Loss is a free, browser-based SKU-wise profit and loss calculator for ecommerce sellers. It reads marketplace payment sheets, subtracts product cost and expenses, and splits the catalogue into a profit list and a loss list, month-wise.
Who is it built for?
Indian marketplace sellers selling on Meesho, Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra and JioMart — from home sellers with a few dozen SKUs to apparel, saree, kurti, footwear and home decor brands in Surat, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi, and agencies reconciling payouts for several brands.
What problem does it solve?
Marketplace payout totals hide which products actually earn money. Returns, RTO, fee changes and ad spend can turn a best-seller into a loss-maker. The calculator shows net profit or loss per SKU so sellers can reprice, cut cost or delist.
Is any software installation required?
No. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebooks, and works with the Excel and CSV payment reports marketplaces already provide.
